Blues Cruise No. 3: Stella Vees

The Stella-Vees Blues Band plays Chicago and West Coast style blues reflecting influences of legendary blues musicians like T-Bone Walker, Hollywood Fats, Magic Sam and Little Walter.  If you like straight ahead, no effects pedal Blues, you have come to the right place.

Winners of two of Kentuckiana’s Blues Society’s “Best Unsigned Blues Band Competition” in Louisville, KY, The Stella-Vees have played major blues festivals since 2007 and continue to be a mainstay on the blues circuit.

Their latest CD, Don’t Tell Me Your Name consisting of 8 original tracks, won the 2015 Best Self Produced CD competition by the Kentuckiana Blues Society and placed in the top 20 for 2015 International Blues Challenge Best Self Produced CD.

The Smoky Mountain Blues Society promotes seven blues cruises every year from April to October. The Star of Knoxville Riverboat is an authentic paddle-wheeler United States Coast Guard. The main deck is fully enclosed, air conditioned, and heated for year-round comfort. The vessel is equipped with two (2) bars, a dance floor, band stage, and is exquisitely decorated for the most elegant dinner and entertainment available.
