About the Band
Scott Ellison is known for his soaring guitar and soulful vocals. His music runs the gamut from Chicago Blues, blues rock, Texas shuffle, and soul blues. This breadth comes naturally to this Tulsa Oklahoman.
Scott Ellison first gained national attention in the iconic bluesman Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown’s tour in the early 1980s.
Ellison worked as a session player for a while in Los Angeles and then brought out his own band in the 1990s. He’s been touring and putting out his own music ever since.
“Ellison is a prolific songwriter, and his work reflects influences from the British Blues Invasion, Motown, and Memphis rhythm and blues.”
– Blues in Britain
He has a number of well-regarded CDs, including his latest, There’s Something About the Night.
He will be joined on stage by Robby Armstrong on drums and Matt Kohl on bass.
