Steve Arvey & Memphis Lightning

SweetTone Recording artist and international touring act Memphis Lightning is a force to be reckoned with, built up from world class and award-winning artists.  Featuring one of today’s greatest guitar slingers, Lightning Thiboutot, compared to the likes of Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, and Chuck Berry to name a few. Along with the charismatic stage show of Mick Jagger and David Bowie.  With the soul and fire making him a firecracker not to be messed with, rather enjoyed from his shock and awe presence.  Award Winning Producer, Song Writer, Cancer Survivor, ambidextrous, struck by Lightning twice, and well versed in worldly studies!

It’s safe to say he is a Certified Bad Ass and is always ready to rock!

Lightning is also proud to be endorsed by MGB Guitars, Intune Guitar Picks, SIT Strings, Steve Arvey Killer Strings, WB Gear, Mahalo Amps, Mainely CBGs, Lace Pickups and Guitar Gifts 4 U!

Along with his father, the Grammy-nominated, Big Red, who has spent years building his credibility through touring and recording all over the world.  Backing some of the best artists in the world, Award Winning Producer and Song Writer Big Red tours the globe with his son Lightning bringing the world unadulterated rock n roll with a stage show second to none!

On the keyboards and organ, Mr. Mayhem is an old school rocker with the class of a jazzman.

When you hear the name Lightning or Memphis Lightning, two words will come to mind… “Future Legends!!!”

Steve Arvey began his career playing the Chicago blues during the 70s. During that period, he shared the stage with many of the legendary blues masters from the Windy City. Now living in Florida, Steve is a fixture at Major festivals and nightclubs through the South, Europe, and the Caribbean. He is also considered by many to be one of the top cigar box guitar players in the world today.

One of Steve Arvey’s most notable contributions to the blues genre is his innovative use of the cigar box guitar. Drawing inspiration from the rich history of homemade instruments in blues music, Arvey has fully embraced the unique sound and character of the cigar box guitar. Arvey’s mastery allows him to coax a wide range of tones and textures from the instrument from gritty, raw blues riffs to soulful, melodic solos.
